Aloo posto is a well known Bengali dish made from potato(Aloo).It's taste very delicious. Most of us used to love eating this dish with rice. Many of us also prefer this with roti also.It is one of my favourite dish. My grandmother used to make it for me most often. I shall be narrating you the receipe.
Preparation Time :- 1 hr
Cuisine :- Bengali,Indian
Ingredients For 3 Adult Persons :-
1. Potato - 3 potatoes cutt into square shaped pieces of equal size.
2. Kalo jeere - 2 tablespoon
3. Poppy seeds(posto) - 4 tablespoon
4. Salt - 1 tablehspoon
5. Green chilli - 3 PCs
6. Water - As required
7. Turmeric powder - 1 tablespoon
8. Mustard oil - 3 tablespoon
Procedure :-
1. Soak the poppy seeds for 30 minutes.
2. Drain excess water from poppy seeds.
3. Grind the poppy seeds properly and make paste.
4. Hit oil and fry potato and mix Kalo
jeere with it.
5. Add paste of poppy seeds & mix it.
6. After some time add green
chilli,turmeric powder,salt and a
pinch of sugar and mix it.
7. Allow water & steir it for some time.
8. Cover your frying pan with a lid &
keep it for 10 minutes.
Your dish is now ready to serve with rice or hand made roti.
